It is just off Namiki-zaka.  If you are headed away from “Densha-dori”, past Higo Bank Kami-tori Branch, turn right at “Onjaku” (food shop) and the cafe entrance is two doors down on your right.
上通りを抜け、肥後銀行（上通支店）を右手に見ながら通り過ぎ、惣菜「温石」の角を右に曲がるとすぐ見えてくる階段。BAHIAの世界への入り口です。
The owner is an accomplished pianist, and the bar serves drinks, Sri Lanka curry and other spicy dishes.  Most weekends you can enjoy live performances of jazz, chanson, today’s country, folk, from professional musicians active both in Kumamoto and other parts of Japan.

ピアニストでもあるオーナーが温かく迎えてくださる古民家の２階では、週末ジャズ、シャンソン、フォーク＆today’s countryなどのライブが楽しめます。（スケジュールは上のリンクから BAHIA のwebsiteを参照ください）
Music charges range from ¥1,000 to ¥2,500 + drink or food charges.  Prices may seem a bit expensive but when you consider tipping is not required, they seem more reasonable.  When available, the brown rice dry curry (no meat) is recommended!

Lunch (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Friday) 11:30 am – 3 pm
dinner (performance night except Wednesday) 6 pm – 10:30 pm
