Though the castle site is not open, at Josai-en Information Center you can find a guided-tour in English. (Advanced reservation necessary)
Nino-maru Parking Lot (B) is open, and the guided tour starts at Nino-maru Park (C).

The guide will explain what happened to the castle seen from the park, and then take you to Kato Shrine (D), where you can look at the castle closest now.

The tour takes about an hour.

The guided tour ends back at Nino-maru Park (C).

熊本城は現在入場規制されていますが、二の丸広場から加藤神社にかけて散策可能です。　二の丸駐車場、もしくは城彩苑に駐車可能。

Kumamoto Castle Signboards and videos in 4 Languages!

熊本城案内板設置（「被災前の姿」「工事の説明」「見学ルートマップ」）4言語で！
Now signboards with information on Kumamoto Castle (pre-earthquake, explanation of restoration processes, guide route maps) have been set up at 24 points around the castle site including Ninomaru Park. (shown on the map)

The signs are in Chinese (traditional & simplified), English, Japanese, and Korean.
Twelve of these signs also have QR codes, which enable you to see videos on your smartphones and tablets.
